EDA Forensics provides independent, evidence-based engineering opinions for legal counsel, insurers, municipalities, public agencies, and private organizations throughout Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia.

We provide engineering analysis of personal injury incidents related to municipal liability and occupiers' liability, such as:

  • Traffic collisions (such as, single-vehicle, multi-vehicle, pedestrian-related, bicycle-related, micromobility-related, train-related, and nighttime collisions)
  • Slip-and-fall and trip-and-fall incidents on municipal properties (such as sidewalks, parking lots, and trails)

Dr. Essam Dabbour is a traffic safety expert and an expert in evaluating roadway design, maintenance, and engineering aspects related to traffic collisions and other personal-injury cases. 


Dr. Dabbour is a registered professional engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) and certified as a Road Safety Professional (RSP1) and Road Safety Auditor.


Dr. Dabbour holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, specializing in Transportation Engineering, with over 35 years of experience in the design, construction, inspection, and maintenance of different road facilities. 


So far, Dr. Dabbour has investigated over 500 forensic engineering cases related to traffic collisions, slip and fall incidents, trip and fall incidents, and other personal-injury cases.
