EBicycle Collision Cases: Engineering Insights for Lawyers and Adjusters

Road authorities in Ontario (including municipalities and MTO) have an obligation to design and maintain safe facilities for all road users, including cyclists. However, some cycling facilities may be poorly planned, designed, or maintained, leading to single- or multi-vehicle collisions involving bicycles. Cyclists are also more vulnerable to collisions in temporary work zones due to the restricted, unfamiliar physical environment and uneven riding surfaces. Cyclists’ safety is a shared responsibility among road authorities, cyclists, and other road users.

This webinar provides engineering insights into litigation cases related to bicycle collisions. The webinar is tailored not only for legal professionals but also for individuals from various fields who may not have specialized engineering knowledge. The webinar will provide easily digestible, practical examples that empower attendees to readily recognize common engineering issues related to cycling facilities in Ontario.

This free webinar will be held via Zoom from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM (ET) on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.
