Dr. Essam Dabbour is a professional engineer (P. Eng.) and designated as a consulting engineer by Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO). He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), certified as a Road Safety Professional (RSP1), and certified in Ontario as a Road Safety Auditor.
Dr. Dabbour has a Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering obtained from Toronto Metropolitan University. Dr. Dabbour has more than 35 years of experience in the design, construction, inspection, and maintenance of all road facilities. He has investigated more than 240 forensic engineering cases related to traffic accidents, slip and fall incidents, and trip and fall incidents. Given his in-depth expertise in the topics of municipal liability and premises liability issues related to traffic accidents and slip/trip & fall incidents, Dr. Dabbour was selected by the Ontario Good Roads Association to teach two annual courses about municipal liability. Dr. Dabbour also published more than 60 articles in academic journals, refereed conference proceedings, and professional magazines.
