Dr. Essam Dabbour is a registered professional engineer (P. Eng.) in Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) and certified as a Road Safety Professional (RSP1) and Road Safety Auditor.
Dr. Dabbour has a Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering, with over 35 years of experience in the design, construction, inspection, and maintenance of all road facilities. He has investigated more than 350 forensic engineering cases related to traffic collisions, slip and fall incidents, trip and fall incidents, and other incidents related to municipal liability and occupiers' liability. Given his in-depth expertise in municipal liability and occupiers' liability, Dr. Dabbour was selected by the Ontario Good Roads Association to teach three annual courses about municipal liability. More information about the two courses may be found in the Courses section.
Dr. Dabbour also published more than 60 articles in academic journals, refereed conference proceedings, and professional magazines.
